Greetings…

Chris

I’m Chris Jordan, a WordPress developer, Technology Consultant, and the owner of Agency Edge Marketing. I don’t know if this website is business or personal, but I think it can be both, and I’m glad you’re here…

When I first started blogging here, I was Atlanta’s “ONLY” Live Insurance Agent, and I was working full time while also taking care of my infant daughter… full time. That balancing act lasted nine months. I originally started my blog here as a way to self-medicate through writing. I’ve never faced a greater challenge than caring for a child under such circumstances. I applaud the parents who stay home with children. But I digress. In writing here, I never really found the parenting voice that seemed to be my original intent. In fact, I still don’t really know what my blog is about. But I do know that I enjoy writing. And I love web technology and business development.

Professionally, I have a background in marketing that began at Nielsen Media Research in 2005. In 2008, I transitioned into the insurance industry as an agent, the profession that obviously led me to start Atlanta Insurance Live. The evolution and success of that platform has been such that the bulk of the work I do now as an insurance marketing consultant (and otherwise) is a direct result, and I’ve all but been pulled into my current professional pursuits.

Coincidentally, I’ve never been happier.

Things that I live for include spending time with my wife and seeing my baby girl smile. I’m passionate about business development. I’m an avid music lover and I play guitar. I don’t watch much TV unless it is football. I’m addicted to sunflower seeds and my Mac. I can often be found listening to the music of Dave Matthews. Since I am determined to live life on my own terms, It hasn’t been uncommon for me to challenge authority. Everybody should take risks. Technology fascinates me, and I’m as enthusiastic as they come when pondering the advancement of the web. I graduated from Auburn University in 2003 and I believe in Auburn and love it.
